Families Behind the Badge hosted the 37th annual bike ride this weekend on Sunday, July 21, 2024!

The Families behind the badge is a Philadelphia-based non-profit dedicated to supporting the families of fallen and critically injured first responders and building healthy connections in the communities they serve. The Ben to the Shore is a charity bike ride that raises money to provide necessary financial relief for the families of fallen or critically injured first responders and cultivate positive relationships and interactions between first responders and the communities they serve. Proceeds also benefit local children’s charities and beneficiaries, including scholarships, rec centers, and school libraries.

It was a beautiful day it was to honor our fallen heroes with a 65 or 30 mile bike ride.  CCRES is proud to sponsor this event and our own Sharon Beebe King completed the 30 mile ride to raise money for the cause.  WAY TO GO SHARON!!  Sharon’s husband, Gary and Dee and Michael Kelly were there to cheer her on along with the Team Jim Thorpers Bicycle Team.
